We are opening a full-time position for sales and store operations
at Swoon.
Swoon Bridal is Reno/Tahoe’s premiere bridal boutique and has been dressing our local brides in the best and coolest wedding gowns for 17 years.

We value hard-working people. Whether it’s cleaning the bathroom, breaking down boxes, or creating extraordinary experiences for women, your contributions are essential. This job requires a mix of grit and glamour. Creativity and capability. You must be great with people, committed to sales, and willing to invest time and passion into our clients and our store.
The job is Tuesdays-Saturdays and Saturdays are a must and non-negotiable. Days off are Sunday and Monday.
Please understand this job is with a small, local business. This is not a six-figure job. Compensation is a mix of salary, commission, and tips. You must be comfortable and dedicated to sales and helping our brides and be willing to be part of a small team always hustling to support and grow the business.
SPECIFICS
of the POSITION
*Ability to provide Swoon-level service of customer service. Our goal is always to make our clients Swoon.
*Ability to close and exceed sales goals month to month. We sell things to survive. Bridal may look fun from the outside, and that’s because it *is! * But it’s also an immense amount of work, knowledge, and physical labor.
* Offer top-tier, support to Swoon’s owner and Swoon’s manager
*Support our entire organization, which includes our little sister store, Lady Luck Bridal
*Learning and running the backend of operations, which includes checking in merchandise and stock with precision, tracking customer payments, updating our online presence, and ordering store supplies.
DESIRABLE
qualities WE LOVE
*A person who can solve any and all problems that may pop up and is unafraid to do so. From customer issues to tech issues to physical issues. We like team members who we'd also like to be stranded on a desert island with—can doers.
*Ability to create and contribute to social media. Someone with some knowledge of ShowIt or willingness to learn is also desirable.
*Experience with bridal/fashion/fit is welcome, but not essential. A willingness to study and be a master of details and problem-solving is essential.
*A college degree. We like people who value learning and critical thinking.

The right person will be looking to grow and envelop themselves in our niche world of selling and bridal and we are game to nurture that growth. Our aim is to add a team member who is committed to growing with us and showing up daily as a dynamo to help Swoon grow in our new era.
Compensation specifics will be discussed with final candidates. Some PTO will be offered for the first year after a trial period. Additional PTO will be considered after the first year of employment and with tenure in the position. Again, to temper expectations, we are not a corporate organization. We are small, woman-owned and locally owned biz, and we are into commitment. Our team members are a tight-knit group who love supporting women in our work and in our team. Applicants need to be comfortable with working for a small business and the demands of small business.
