A Swoonie Update

We are still Swooning during these COVID times! We are keeping the magic alive the best way we know how and we thank all of you for your cooperation. Please read the update from May 13 as well as the ones below✨

  • We are now welcoming our brides to arrive 15 minutes prior to their appointment to have a sip of bubbly on our fabulous patio to kick things off!

  • We are still limited to 3 guests per bride. Should you require additional guests, please read here and contact us first at (775) 826-0505, as we may have options in these cases - though not guaranteed.

  • Masks are still required by all in the party and we ask that everyone remain seated during the appointment.

  • For new appointments, we will confirm Swoonie COVID protocols via text message prior to your appointment.

We are so happy to be able to share our Swooniverse with you! Thank you for helping us to everyone safe during your time at Swoon!

May 13, 2020

We are ✨ BACK!✨ Now booking appointments!

Will things be different?  Yes.

Will it still be fabulously Swoonie?  Of course!

Here’s what we have up our fairy godmother sleeves to get back to Swooning.  We’ve missed you.

✨Future Swoon Babes✨

  • We are now able to stagger appointments for a “semi-private” Swooning experience!

  • You will be allowed a guest count of two fabulous and healthy adults in addition to yourself. Kids over 12 are okay as long as they can stay seated for the duration of the appointment.  Sorry—no kiddos under 12 at this time.

  • We do love a good accessory and so masks will be required by all inside of Swoon.

  • As we are only able to see a limited amount of clients per day, we will be requiring a credit card on file to book an appointment.

  • We’ll be cleaning and disinfecting the store and the gowns thoroughly between appointments—so we will be seeing a limited amount of appointments per day.

  • In a hurry?  Need an elopement dress or needing a gown on the fly?  Girl, we got you.  We have loads of sample dresses we are selling (see @swoonsamplesale for a taste) and we have a number of designers who are taking quick orders.  Be in touch, we will help you figure it out!

  • In exciting news, we will still be offering virtual appointments + at-home try-ons with the gowns from @swoonsamplesale if you are a no-nonsense bride after a killer deal.  P.S. We are adding another exciting element to our sample sale really soon—stay tuned!

We are all navigating what is comfortable right now and so we are happy to continue virtual consultations in any capacity.

✨Current Swoon Babes✨

  • If you had to grab your gown while we were closed, we invite you back now or down the road to try that beauty on in front of our Swoon mirror.  Guest count will be limited to one very special person for the time being and we have specific days set aside to have you back.

  • If you want to talk accessories, let’s do it!  We can either have you in for an accessory appointment or we are offering current Swoon brides the option to check out accessories from our fabulous Swoon collection, try them on at home or with your seamstress, and bring them back to us.

  • Pick-ups are *By Appointment Only*, so text us/call us first if you need to come by for any reason.  We will still be doing curb-side pick-ups!

Above all, we are here for you to help you navigate things and celebrate you and the joy and beauty of doing the thing and holding onto the fact that love will not be canceled.

Welcome back to our magical place, dearest Swoonies!

Here’s the latest as of April 30, 2020

Hi Swoonies, you’ve been SO patient with us as we figure out our next steps in our new normal. Currently, we will continue to be closed until May 15. If you are on the hunt for a dress or accessories, we’ve got great new options:

✨Book a virtual appointment with us here!

✨Shop our samples here!

✨Save 15% off all accessories for the month of April.

Text us at (775) 826-0505 for more questions! We’re here to help you!

Here’s the latest as of today, March 18th, our dear Swoonies,

Per yesterday’s order from the governor of Nevada, we are closing for the next 30 days effectively immediately.

We have been in touch with our lovelies who are on the books for the next two weeks and we will touch base again today to figure out a Swoonplan of attack.  For the brides booked in the first half of April, we will be in touch by the end of the week to get your appointments moved.

For brides whose dresses have already landed in Swoonland:  We are offering curbside pick-up for you to get your gown and take it back to your nest.  (Seriously, you may want to just jump into that beautiful thing when you need some sunshine these next few weeks.  We’re 100% for it and we’ll give you instructions on how to get in and out of it.)  We can do a FaceTime consult by appointment anytime over the next few weeks.  You can also take it home and just wait to come back and try it on in a few weeks with all of the Swoon beauty surrounding you.  (Plus, we’ve heard we have the best mirrors on the planet.) We are here and we will be here to support you.  Let’s touch base and figure out what feels good.

For our brides whose gowns we are waiting on:  Again, one of us will be here ‘womaning’ the store in a limited capacity to get our deliveries and send you happy news as things arrive.  We’ll also be in communication if we get any updates on your gown.

Texting and emailing will be the very best way to communicate and we will be on the other side with answers.  We’re not going anywhere—we are right by your virtual side as you need us.

We can do this.  We must do this.

Sending so much love to all of you, Swoonies.

Hey Swoonies:

Here’s the latest on what’s happening in Swoonland as of today, March 17th:

Effective immediately, we will be operating on an appointment-only and private-appointment basis for clients with time-sensitive wedding dates and needs.  We will not be open to see clients otherwise through the end of March.  We will be reaching out to every client on our books through the end of the month today to figure out the best plan of attack for every bride.  If you are not on our books yet, please reach out via text or email and let us know your story and we will do our best to help.  (A note of clarification:  When we say “private-appointment” we are not charging for these.  Swoon does offer a private appointment service where we close the store for a fee—that offering is on hold at the present moment.)

We will continue to ‘woman’ Swoon and be here to accept deliveries as long as we can.  We want to continue to send those happy texts to let you know when your beautiful things arrive.

We know there is a lot of confusion around the announcement made yesterday in Reno about which business can stay open.  One of the beautiful things about small business is really how small we are able to be and keep functioning.  We are able to operate with well under ten people in our space and will continue to help our brides while abiding by all directives put out for public safety.

Swoony measures that will continue:

For the time-sensitive brides that we will continue to see:  We are allowing a two guest (plus the bride) policy (this is modified from last week).  We cannot give on this.  We are great at FaceTime.

Even if we are not in the store, we are only a text away.  We will be monitoring the Swoon email and our texts.  We are here for you.  We have your back.  Each and every one of you matters to us.

We will continue to disinfect our hearts out between appointments and we will be social distancing per the moment upon us.

We are taking things day by day and things are subject to change, but what will not change is that there is a team of incredible women who make up Swoon who truly are the best at what they do who are fiercely committed to our Swoonies in good times and in bad.

We are committed to keeping Swoon a sanctuary for beautiful things, love, laughter, and memory making. Swoon has always been about the promise of the goodness in life that lies ahead and we are keeping the faith in these uncertain times that we will all pull through this.

For Swoonies Present & Future:

A few things to help put your mind at ease…

We don’t have any significant delays right now and we are watching things closely and keeping in constant contact with our designers.  As of right now, like the rest of the world, we are taking things day by day.

Every dress is a different story and if we get any news about your dress, we will for sure reach out and keep you posted on all things.  No news from us is good news.

If your dress is here and you haven’t picked it up, we have a few options for you.  Text us and we’ll discuss the best plan.

If you are getting married this summer and fall, please be in touch.  We have some incredible designers who can turn things around quickly.  We also have great samples we are willing to part with.

You are our number one priority and we will take care of you no matter what comes.  We are a small local business and we do this because we care about the people in our Swoonsphere and we have got your back for better or for worse.

If you want to chat or text us at any point, we are here for you.  Text and email are the very best ways to be in touch right now:  775-826-0505 // swoon@swoonbridal.com
